The "UPS 12V and 5V" is a backup power source for devices with 12V as well as 5V DC power supply, which can be supplied simultaneously by the UPS. In addition to a stable output voltage of 12V up to 1.5A and 5V up to 0.5A, it provides information about the failure of the external power supply as well as the detailed UPS status to compatible HW group monitoring devices via the 1-Wire UNI output. In terms of power supply, the "UPS 12V and 5V" is compatible with all HW group devices supplied by 12V and 5V power supplies.
Applications and use:
In IT, industry, as well as in households, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is a standard equipment, but for small devices such as monitoring telephone systems or control systems that run on 12V and 5V, there are no similar uninterruptible power supplies and installing wasteful 230V UPS is an uneconomical solution.
The "UPS 12V and 5V" provides an uninterruptible power supply for your equipment, and the installation requirements are not significantly higher. The emergency power supply is fed by a standard 12V adapter (12V/1.5A), which can also supply the terminal device. In the event of a mains power failure, the 12V battery starts supplying power and simultaneously sends the information to a connected monitoring device via the 1-Wire UNI interface. Thanks to this, the powered device can notify its user about the power failure and possibly stop its activities correctly.
Connection
Connect the mains adapter to the UPS. Both green LEDs light up. Connect the device to be backed up to the Power Out connector. Switch on the UPS. To check the function, disconnect the power supply adapter. The Power IN LED does not light up, the Power OUT LED remains on. When the UPS is switched off, the Power OUT LED also lights up. The status of the main UPS switch is not displayed and must be checked visually using the switch position!!!
