Produktinformation "ADDER - CATX-USBA-DA"
The CATx Dual Computer Access Modules (CAMs) are extremely compact devices that allow you to share a single computer with two sets of peripherals. In simple terms, the CAM can be seen as a combined video splitter and peripheral hub. This is useful for mixing local and remote stations or mixing KVM with extension or signage systems.
The module connects to your computer's video, USB, audio and RS232 ports and then connects via CAT 5, 5e or 6 cables to ADDERView CATx KVM switches and / or ADDER extender receivers (either ADDERLink X100 or X200) These can be up to 300 meters away from the module. Your video display, keyboard, mice and speakers are connected to the remote devices.
The CATX-USB-DA model does not have audio or serial ports, but is otherwise identical to the CATX-USBA-DA model.

Features
Resolutions and cable lengths
The maximum resolutions that can be achieved are:
Audio with two-channel CD quality is supported.
Absolute mouse mode support
Supports absolute mouse mode in conjunction with supporting devices.
EDID display information
The module contains a standard set of EDID information that supports display resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz. In addition, when the module is powered on, it checks to see if alternative EDID information is available from the KVM switch or extender connected to port A. The EDID information can be changed if necessary. If required, you can also collect and save new EDID information from your display (read and save).
Performance
The CATx Dual CAM uses a USB port to draw its power from the host computer, eliminating the need for a separate power supply and simplifying installation. Therefore, the USB cable must always be connected to a USB port on the computer that can supply up to 300 mA.
User arbitration
Control of the host computer is determined by the module on a first-come, first-served basis. The moment a key is pressed or a mouse is moved by one user, the other user's keyboard and mouse are temporarily locked (video images are retained). The locked user's keyboard indicators then start flashing to confirm their status. After two seconds of inactivity by the user currently in control, the module returns to sleep mode and resets the locked user's keyboard indicators.
RS232 to disable / re-enable receiver connections.
If required, a user of one remote connection can disable (and re-enable) the other remote connection using serial port commands.
Using one of the remote keypads, a terminal programme on the computer can be used to send the appropriate character to the COM port assigned to the module.
Resolutions and cable lengths

- 1280 x 1024 at 60 Hz at 300 m.
Audio with two-channel CD quality is supported.
