The Adder SFP-CATX-RJ45 is an active Gigabit Ethernet CATx SFP transceiver for use with the AdderLink INFINITY series. The SFP-CATX-RJ45 extends up to, but is not limited to, a cable length of 100 meters. If you need to expand further, simply add a 1GbE network device to reach an additional 100 meters. ADDERLink Infinity ALIF 1002 and all ALIF Dual variants offer a choice of link connections. Each supports copper-based Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T) as well as Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE). The ALIF (1002) and ALIF Dual units offer a single system connector (CATx) on the right-hand side of the front panel as standard. Optional fibre SFP modules offer a rate of 4.25 Gbps selectable with LC connectors suitable for up to 500 metres (multi-mode) or 10 km (single-mode), while the Gigabyte Ethernet CATx SFP module is suitable for up to, but not limited to, a cable length of 100 metres. ALIF Dual units additionally enable parallel use of the dual network interface ports ("teaming operation") to produce Ethernet link speeds of up to 2 gigabits per second, with the added benefit of link redundancy that can maintain operation in the event of a failed link. Teaming provides immediate speed improvements in a one-to-one arrangement as well as in multicast installations. Scope of delivery: ADDER - SFP-CATX-RJ45
